About Us
Asa and I (Valerie) have been married since July 2006. We were fortunate enough to be able to buy our place that same year. While growing up Asa rodeoed . After high school he moved to Cody Wyoming and worked for stock contractor Jim Ivory at the Cody Nite Rodeo. He started riding bareback horses instead of just bulls and occasionally got in the Team Roping. He then Rodeoed for Central Wyoming College and that is where we met. We both have our Associates in Horse Management, Equine Training. We have one daughter.
We raise primarily American Quarter Horses and also cross our stud on two Shire Draft mares. We do dayworking for the neighbors in mostly spring and fall some with the occasional summer work. Summer is usually our busy time for horse shoeing. We also hold Team Doctorings in the winter months.
We believe that a person can tell you anything about a horse but the horse will tell you the truth and in order to completely control a horse you ride thier feet not their head.
