Rules
There will be a 5 minute time limit for all teams
There is a 2 1/2 minute time limit to get your ead loop on
Three people on a team
Each person Must head once
Time will start when a horses foot crosses the time line
Cattle number called when time starts
Third mans rope must be on the ground before dismounting
No one can hold onto third mans horse
Both front feet and both hind feet must be in rope sand third man back on horse before time is stopped
Roughing is judges discretion
Legal head catches are bell collar or half head no horns allowed
No rubber on saddle horns
No loping until animal is headed30 second penalty for each time loped
Must have a legal head catch before animal is heeled
If roper looses rope he can get another teammates rope, orteammate can hand roper back his rope. No ropes can be handed over the fence
Only two ropes can be on animal when time is called
If header looses his rope it is not considered a hed catch until header has control of his rope and loping is not allowed. Once animal is re-headed or rope is handed back to roper then roping is allowed.
ABSOLUTELY no single high hocks can be taken.

NOVICE ROPING
Two novices and one open roper on each team
Each novice must rope, doesn't matter which end
Rubber is allowed for novice ropers in the novice roping

Novice Roping is intended for those who have minimal roping experience.
